Torbay BSAC invites all underwater photographers to take part in out “Splash in” competition.
The date will be Saturday 8 July 2017.
There are to be three entry groups.
- Wide angle
- Compact cameras
The competition Judges will be Dan Bolt and Peter Rowlands.
Dr. Alex Tattersall will be the guest speaker on the evening of 8th July 2017 when prizes will be presented to the winning competitors.
There will be prizes equivalent to £100 for the first placed winner and £50 for the second placed entry in each entry group.

The prize for the first placed entry in each category will be a voucher for underwater photography equipment to the value of £100.
The prize for the second placed entry in each category will be a cheque for £50.
In addition, each first and second prize winner will receive an electronic edition of “A photographic guide to the nudibranchs of South West England”.
Presentation of prizes
The prizes in each of the categories – first and second place – will be presented on the evening of 8 July at Living Coasts, Torquay Harbour.
We hope the weather “Gods” will smile upon us. It is possible of course that they won’t. If adverse weather conditions develop during the night of 7/8th July or on the morning of 8th we shall take all reasonable steps to notify competitors as soon as possible.
The club will be guided by advice from HM Harbourmaster, Torquay and by HM Coastguard. If we are advised to cancel the competition on safety grounds, we shall follow it. Every possible effort will be made to contact competitors by phone or text. We will also place a notification by means of a post on the club Facebook page.
