Who will judge the competition?
The judges will be Dan Bolt and Peter Rowlands
How do I register?
Please complete the on-line registration form. When you submit the form, you will receive an email acknowledgement with a contestant number. You then need to pay your entry fee into the bank account mentioned in our email and quote your competitor entry number as the reference.
Where can photographs be taken?
At any point within the Torquay Harbour boundaries as far south as Berry Head, Brixham and as far north as the end of Oddicombe Beach, Torquay.
Are photos taken during shore dives permitted?
Certainly. The choice of beach is yours provided that it lies within the boundaries set out above.
Are photos taken during boat dives permitted?
Yes. You will have to make your own charter arrangements of course. Various charter boats in Torquay, Teignmouth and elsewhere may be available for bookings on the day of the competition.
When can I take photographs?
The decision is yours. At any point after 00:00 H on 8th July until 17:00 H. on 8th July bearing in mind the cut off point for the submission of entries set out below. Obviously you will need to allow sufficient time to carry out permitted processing, get to Beacon Quay and submit your entries by 18:00 H.
Submission cut off point:
All entries must be submitted by 6:00 p.m. (18:00 H) on 8th July 2017. Entries submitted after that point will not be entered into the competition or judged.
Method of submitting entries
By flash card only please. The card should be marked with the contestants' entry number. Entries to be handed in please to members of Torbay BSAC at the display stand on Beacon Quay, Torquay Harbour.
The process of judging the competition will take place on the evening of 8th July 2017 between 18:00 H and 20:00 H.
Presentation of submissions
The photographs which win first and second prize in each of the entry categories will be displayed on screen on the evening of the prizegiving.
Dr. Alex Tattersall will give a talk at the presentation event.
